Philips Healthcare has begun shipping its TruFlight Select PET/CT, which features Astonish TF time-of-flight (TOF) technology.
TOF technology is designed to enhance image quality by reducing image artifacts, providing high sensitivity and improved contrast when compared to non-TOF systems. The images help clinicians better detect and locate lesions and preserve healthy tissue during treatment.
The TruFlight Select PET/CT can be used for multiple applications, including routine oncology imaging, diagnostic CT, and incorporating PET radiation therapy planning, Philips said.
