The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) is joining forces with cardiology practice services provider MedAxiom to expand the business and educational resources available to the cardiology and nuclear cardiology communities, the organizations said in a statement.
The partnership will include educational programming, benchmarking surveys, and implementation strategies that will help define best practices and medical professionalism in nuclear cardiology for the members of both organizations, improving their ability to offer patient-centered care, ASNC and MedAxiom said.
Planning is under way for a joint session at the ASNC annual meeting taking place this September in Baltimore. A preliminary benchmark survey is planned for this summer, with the data to be made available in September.
The partnership will boost the impact of the two organizations' connected communities by collecting more data to support and develop best practices for all advanced imaging modalities. These best practices can then be tested in beta sites and fine-tuned, MedAxiom said.
