Diagnostic imaging agent developer Lantheus Medical Imaging has extended its contract with medical isotope provider Nordion to supply molybdenum-99 (Mo-99) for use in Lantheus' TechneLite (technetium Tc-99m) generators through 2015.
Molybdenum-99 is the parent isotope of technetium-99m, the radioisotope most widely used in nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging, Lantheus said.
