Medical imaging software developer MIM Software has introduced version 5.6 of its MIMneuro software.
The new version adds stereotactic surface projection (SSP) images to the software's quantitative analysis tools for amyloid PET imaging, according to the vendor.
SSP images allow for overall assessment of gray-matter tracer uptake in an image by projecting the tracer activity from the gray matter to the surface of the brain. An area of concern highlighted on the SSP image can also be identified on the traditional image slices using MIMneuro, the company said. Statistically significant differences in tracer uptake from a database of healthy controls can be highlighted.
MIMneuro 5.6 also combines SSPs with the software's existing tools for statistical comparisons, the company said.
