Medical isotope producer Advanced Medical Isotope (AMIC) is collaborating with Swiss radionuclide manufacturer GSG International to jointly develop medical isotope production technologies and to market and distribute related isotopes, equipment, and services.
The strategic alliance's first endeavor will be the worldwide distribution of molybdenum-99 and related technetium-99 generators and kits acquired or manufactured by GSG on behalf of the alliance, according to AMIC. AMIC initially will have exclusive rights for sale and distribution in North America, South America, and China. Subject to the parties' performance, AMIC may thereafter obtain additional rights, according to the vendors.
AMIC and GSG said they are also conducting a technical review of their respective technologies, rights, and business lines to determine other products and services to include in the strategic alliance. GSG is the Switzerland-based member of Gamma Service Group International, a radionuclide materials provider with operations in Switzerland, Germany, and Russia.
