Medical isotope firm Shine Medical Technologies has submitted the remaining chapters of its construction permit application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
The chapters filed late last week included a preliminary design and additional safety analyses for a planned medical isotope facility in Janesville, WI. The filing begins the NRC's process of formal acceptance and review, which is expected to take approximately 18 months from the initial submission in late March, Shine said.
