RefleXion to show PET-guided RT at ASTRO

Radiation therapy equipment developer RefleXion Medical plans to highlight a new PET-guided approach to radiotherapy (RT) at the upcoming American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in San Antonio.

The company's work-in-progress biology-guided radiotherapy (BgRT) technology uses the cancer itself to guide radiation delivery, according to the firm. Used in conjunction with FDG-PET imaging, BgRT delivers radiation to tumors along the tracer's emissions pathways, the company said.
