Siemens Healthineers has introduced a new version of its c.cam cardiac SPECT system in the U.S.
The system has a reclining patient chair with a 450-lb weight limit rather than a flat table. It allows patients to remain seated during scanning to minimize respiratory motion and cardiac image artifacts.
Siemens' c.cam also has an integrated, bidirectional camera arm with a small field-of-view. The Windows software platform has cybersecurity features that limit access by nonauthorized personnel.
Because it has a small 8 x 8-ft footprint, c.cam can be installed in two days with minimal room modeling requirements, the firm said.
