Spectrum Dynamics is highlighting a new nuclear medicine imaging capability: to image high-energy isotopes using solid-state detector technology in a 360˚ cadmium zinc telluride-based, wide-bore SPECT/CT configuration.

The company said this functionality is available in its Veriton-CT 400 series digital SPECT/CT scanners, which allows for total body, brain, heart, and other imaging applications.

Spectrum explained that during scans, digital detectors automatically follow the patient's body contour, which in turn improves volumetric sensitivity for routine 3D hybrid imaging. The scanner is available in 16-slice CT and 64-slice CT configuration.
