The RSNA's Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance (QIBA) and its partner, the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research, have announced recipients of the first Academy Council of Early Career Investigators in Imaging (CECI²) fellowship.
The two fellowship awardees are Shanshan Jiang, PhD, of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and Dr. Ashwin Singh Parihar of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Jiang's research focuses on applying MRI to neurological diseases and Parihar's research focuses on theranostics, nuclear medicine, and cancer imaging.
Jiang and Parihar will be recognized on November 30 during the RSNA meeting in Chicago at a QIBA-sponsored quantitative imaging symposium, according to the RSNA.
The fellowship is extended for members of the Academy's CECI² Council, which was established in 2014 to recognize "achievements of researchers who are in the early phases of their careers and engage them in advocacy for research funding," the RSNA said.
