Medical device developer Monteris Medical announced it has appointed a new president and CEO.
John Schellhorn is succeeding current CEO James Duncan, who is retiring. Schellhorn will also join the company's board of directors. In his new position, Schellhorn will guide Monteris' development and commercialization of its NeuroBlate system, an MRI-guided focused-ablation device for treating brain tumors.
Prior to joining Monteris, Schellhorn served as the chief commercialization officer for Bârrx Medical and as president and CEO of Softscope Medical Technologies, according to Monteris.
Monteris Medical is a privately held medical device company that develops MRI-guided laser-based cancer treatments.
