Siemens Healthineers has received clearance from Health Canada to sell its Magnetom Vida 3-tesla MRI system.
Vida features the company's BioMatrix technology, which is designed to address user variability as well as the inherent anatomical and physiological differences among patients, according to Siemens. The vendor believes that BioMatrix will help increase productivity and lower the number of rescans.
Vida includes a 60/200 XT gradient system, a 70-cm bore scanner, and a 55 x 55 x 50-cm field-of-view. Siemens said it has also included its Compressed Sensing Cardiac Cine application, which allows for free-breathing cardiac MRI exams by accelerating scans by a factor of 10, according to the firm.
