Brachytherapy seed manufacturer Theragenics has entered into an agreement to acquire CP Medical, a Portland, OR-based medical device company.
CP Medical is a manufacturer and supplier of sutures, cardiac pacing cables, brachytherapy needles/spacers, and other related medical products, according to Atlanta-based Theragenics.
The transaction establishes new growth platforms for Theragenics within the field of medical devices, and also diversifies the firm's product offerings in its core brachytherapy business, Theragenics said.
