The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) is compiling a list of radiation therapy facilities willing and able to treat Hurricane Katrina victims who have been evacuated from the area. The list is available here.
In other Hurricane Katrina-related news, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center (SKCC) in San Diego is offering facilities and resources to displaced New Orleans cancer researchers. SKCC has several labs focused on areas such as vascular biology, genomics, proteomics, and molecular imaging, and can accommodate at least three to four labs with approximately 12 members each, according to SKCC.
