At next week's Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) annual meeting in Miami, radiation oncology company Elekta will introduce new capabilities for Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion to enhance information management.
The new functions will enable the exchange of such information as treatment plans, treatment records, and protocols both pre- and post-treatment, in the electronic health record, Elekta said. This will allow users to see all of a patient's treatment statistics on a single dashboard. The changes will result in a better flow of patient care and improved use of time and resources, according to the firm.
Other features to be highlighted in demonstrations at the meeting include a focus on intracranial cases, complete solution integration, high-level dose conformity, and clinical efficacy, Elekta said.
