Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems is expanding its holdings in Brazil.
The company plans to build an industrial complex to meet both local and external market demands, operating as a production and distribution platform for high technology products in Latin America.
Varian said it also wants to create an educational center to help clinicians develop skills for its advanced radiation therapy technology.
Negotiations are under way to create a supply chain to provide products for the company's operations on a global scale. A site for the venture has not yet been chosen, according to the firm.
