Members of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) have elected three new officers to the organization's board of directors and three new members to serve on its nominating committee.
The new board members are as follows:
- President-elect: Dr. Brian Kavanagh of the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver
- Health Policy Council vice chair: Dr. Michael Kuettel, PhD, of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY
- Science Council vice chair: Daniel Low, PhD, of the University of California, Los Angeles
The following nominating committee members were chosen:
- Dr. Quynh-Thu Le of Stanford University
- Dr. John Rieke of the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center in Tacoma, WA
- Indrin Chetty, PhD, of the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit
Terms for the positions begin on October 20 at ASTRO's annual meeting in San Antonio.
