Radiation oncology firm Accuray said it has received a large order for multiple systems from 21st Century Oncology, a cancer treatment firm operating 183 centers in 17 states and internationally.
The contract includes a CyberKnife M6 and four TomoHDA systems, which are used to provide localized radiation treatments for cancerous and noncancerous tumors throughout the body, Accuray said.
The systems will replace 21st Century's conventional linear accelerators in single-vault freestanding centers, the company said. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
