Dr. Alfred Kurtz has been appointed president of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. His term will end in 2003.
Kurtz is vice chairman of the department of radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He also is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Jefferson Medical College. Kurtz co-authored Ultrasound: The Requisites.
