GE Medical Systems has completed its acquisition of Austrian 3-D ultrasound developer Kretztechnik. GE has acquired the approximately 65.4% share of the firm held by Medison, and as of Oct. 10 had accepted for purchase an additional 27.1% of shares outstanding tendered from public shareholders.
Waukesha, WI-based GE intends to acquire the remaining shares of Kretztechnik and run the firm as a wholly owned subsidiary.
