GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, has introduced an ergonomic imaging system design on its latest ultrasound products -- the Logiq 9, Logiq 7, and Vivid 7 -- to provide sonographers with greater comfort and convenience.
The features are collectively called ComfortScan. One of the highlights is a floating user interface that moves up and down and left and right, allowing sonographers and physicians to position the operator's console at an ergonomic height and position.
ComfortScan also features an intuitive keyboard layout and color touch-screen, integrated mode and gain controls, a full-sized backlit keyboard, and a 17-inch high-resolution color display that can be viewed from any angle to help avoid neck and eye strain, GE said.
