Hitachi will show its Hi Vision 8500 premium ultrasound system, which uses Sono MR Imaging with user-oriented operation.
Hitachi will also introduce Hi Vision 5500, a midrange price-performance system that is compatible with Hitachi’s current probe set, and whose small size makes it ideal for portable use, the company said. The system offers tissue harmonic imaging, color Doppler, directional CFA, M-mode, Wide View, and full DICOM compliance. It just received Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance and is expected to become commercially available in December or January.
