Hitachi Medical Systems America reported that it has been awarded a three-year, multisource purchasing agreement for its ultrasound systems by Novation, the supply company of VHA and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC).
The agreements, which offer Hitachi's Hi Vision 6500 and Hi Vision 8500 radiology ultrasound systems to VHA and UHC members, take effect September 1 this year and run through June 30, 2008, according to Twinsburg, OH-based Hitachi.
