Radiology software developer Merge Healthcare of Milwaukee has launched Baby Explorer, a 3D fetal imaging software application developed by its Cedara Software subsidiary.
The plug-in application runs on a standard PC and allows a sonographer to generate 3D fetal images from 2D ultrasound clips, according to the company. The product supports multiple image types, and exports images that can be printed on standard printers or saved on CD-ROMs, Merge said.
A free trial of the product can be downloaded via the Merge eMed eCommerce Web site and is also available via the firm's direct sales channels.
