GE Healthcare has introduced ultrasound SonoErgonomics, a package of ergonomic features that are now available on the vendor's Logiq 9 and Logiq 7 ultrasound systems, according to the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based vendor.
SonoErgonomics features include a 17-inch flat-screen monitor on an adjustable arm that allows positioning flexibility, an adjustable keyboard, and voice-activated operation of 150 commands for system functions, GE said.
Other features include a color touch screen and programmable keys, wheels that swivel and lock for easy transport and parking, lightweight transducers, and GE's ErgoSuite ergonomic table, chair, and accessories. In addition, the vendor has extended SonoErgonomics principles to the patient: Logiq 9 sports a gel warmer to make the patient's experience a bit less chilly.
