Siemens Medical Solutions has released version 4.0 of the premium edition of its Antares ultrasound scanner.
The system will feature shared-service cardiology applications, in addition to general imaging and advanced clinical applications such as 3D/4D and contrast agent imaging, according to the Malvern, PA-based vendor. It is also equipped with a high-resolution 19-inch flat-panel display mounted on an articulating arm.
Other new ergonomic design features include a natural and extended reach zone concept that places controls and peripheral devices so they are easily accessible, Siemens said. Current Antares customers can upgrade to version 4.0.
