Sonora, MDT ink joint development deal

Sonora Medical Systems, a subsidiary of Farmingdale, NY-based ultrasound technology developer Misonix, has entered into a joint development agreement with Medical Diagnostic Technologies (MDT) of Las Vegas.

The companies will collaborate on a product to be marketed as FirstAssist, a test device designed to troubleshoot diagnostic ultrasound systems, which is expected to be commercially available in the U.S. later this year, according to the firms.
