Siemens Healthcare and National Semiconductor have formed a strategic alliance related to ultrasound technology.
The firms said they hope the partnership will create ultrasound imaging systems that produce enhanced image quality and advanced 3D/4D imaging capabilities, while consuming less power. The alliance brings together the Malvern, PA-based vendor's ultrasound technology with National Semiconductor's analog semiconductor capabilities.
National Semiconductor of Santa Clara, CA, will provide power management, signal path, and transducer technology while working closely with Siemens.
