Strong sales in the U.S. market propelled compact-ultrasound developer SonoSite to a 27% revenue increase in its preliminary fourth-quarter results.
For the period (end-December 31), the Bothell, WA-based vendor had record preliminary fourth-quarter revenue of $89 million, up from $69 million in the fourth quarter of 2009. Sales from the company's U.S. sector increased 35% to contribute a record $40 million in quarterly revenue, SonoSite said.
For 2010, SonoSite had preliminary revenue of $275 million, up 23% from the $227 million reported in 2009.
