FDA clears TomTec's 4D cardiac software

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared 4D mitral valve assessment software from TomTec Imaging Systems, the company said.

TomTec's 4D MV-Assessment 2.0 software uses real-time 3D echocardiography to analyze the mitral valve, producing static and dynamic measurements of the valve apparatus, according to the firm.
