InfraReDx to roll out new IVUS system

Coronary imaging developer InfraReDx is about to launch its new TVC imaging system, an enhanced version of the LipiScan intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) coronary imaging system.

The new system combines IVUS and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and features enhanced image resolution for vessel interpretation and assessment, including the potential presence of lipid core plaque.

InfraReDx plans to debut the technology at this week's annual Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics meeting in San Francisco.
