Siemens Healthcare has begun shipments of its new Acuson S1000 ultrasound system.
The Acuson S1000 features a complete line of transducers and can perform 27 different types of exams for a variety of patient and body types.
The system also supports Siemens' ultrasound technologies and features, including strain imaging capabilities with eSie Touch elasticity imaging, contrast-enhanced ultrasound with Cadence contrast pulse sequencing technology, and intracardiac echocardiography using the Acuson AcuNav ultrasound catheter.
The company launched Acuson S1000 at the 2011 RSNA annual meeting.
