Medical equipment manufacturer Mindray Medical International will unveil its new DC-8 ultrasound system at the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) annual meeting to be held May 5-9 in San Diego.
The DC-8 system is based on advanced technologies, with improved image quality and a focus on ergonomic design, Mindray said. The new features will help improve patient management and make the system easier to use while enhancing user confidence.
The new model uses the firm's multibeam parallel imaging technology, which integrates advanced imaging technologies such as an echo-enriched beamformer to produce optimized images with minimal user involvement, Mindray said. The ergonomic design addresses every part of the user's body that interacts with the device, improving procedural efficiency and reducing repetitive actions. Finally, a new user interface enables logical and efficient workflow.
DC-8 joins Mindray's other ultrasound systems, including the M7, M5, DP-50, DC-7, and DC-3 models, which will also be showcased at the ACOG meeting. All of the systems allow for upgrades, which will optimize the return on investment for users, Mindray said.
