Samsung Electronics America introduced the UGEO H60 ultrasound system to the U.S. market at the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) annual meeting being held in New York City this week.
The UGEO H60 combines high performance with attention to design, the company said. It features Samsung SDMR imaging processing technology to provide sharp 2D images and also S-Flow, which enables color detection with a sensitivity level that displays microvessels in high resolution. Its 18.5-inch LED-backlit monitor features Samsung's image processing technologies and hybrid imaging engine to produce clear, accurate clinical images.
The UGEO H60's slim configuration profile incorporates touchscreen display technology, with a selection of customizable keys and menus. It also has a time gain compensator function to create and access saved presets. Other features include a built-in gel warmer, which keeps ultrasound gel at a temperature between 86° and 102° F.
Samsung also is showcasing the FRV Feto Realistic View software at the AIUM meeting, a new image rendering technology for its Accuvix A30 ultrasound system. The FRV software update, which shows highly detailed images of the fetus by processing more 3D/4D data than previous software versions, will be available to both new and existing Accuvix A30 customers.
