Carestream Health has received orders for its Touch Prime and Touch Prime XE ultrasound systems in the U.S. and Europe.
Both systems are designed for general diagnostic imaging use in radiology, ob/gyn, musculoskeletal, and vascular applications. They also feature SynTek Architecture, which provides enhanced spatial detail with increased frame rates for improved visualization of moving structures while optimizing image formation to reduce noise and artifacts, according to the company. Imaging and Doppler improvements allow for more consistent visualization of subtle tissue contrast differences and can improve the ability to see small structures, the firm added.
The systems are expected to begin shipping in December.
