Orthopedic therapy developer Bioventus has launched its Exogen ultrasound bone healing system in Saudi Arabia.
The system uses low-intensity pulsed ultrasound to help stimulate the body's natural healing process. It has an 86% heal rate for fractures not healing on their own and provides 38% faster healing of fresh fractures, the firm said. Also, 89% of patients with high-energy fractures reported healing when treated with Exogen, Bioventus said.
