Ultrasound acoustic measurement and testing firm Acertara Acoustic Laboratories has received two U.S. patents for test equipment.
Patent No. 9,513,237 covers the company's Active-Z probe testing system, which is a portable, point-of-care test device for ultrasound probes that allows sonographers to verify that their probe is functioning properly.
Patent No. 9,525,257 covers the company's Accept electrical leakage Omni-connector, which is part of a transducer electrical leakage suite. Accept connects to virtually every ultrasound manufacturer and probe model, eliminating the need for a hospital to purchase multiple adapters, Acertara said.
