Echosens taps new president for North America

French ultrasound technology developer Echosens has appointed Jon Gingrich as CEO of its North American operation.

Gingrich comes to Echosens North America with more than 20 years of experience in global medical device and healthcare sales, marketing, and general management experience, according to the company. He most recently served as chief commercial officer of peripheral nerve repair technology firm AxoGen. Prior to that, Gingrich was global vice president and general manager for skeletal health solutions, as well as group global vice president for marketing, breast, and skeletal health solutions at women's imaging vendor Hologic.

In his new role, Gingrich will lead the development and execution of the company's U.S. strategy for increasing the utilization of its FibroScan technology in the assessment of chronic liver disease, Echosens said. He will also be a member of the firm's global leadership team.
