Point-of-care ultrasound developer Butterfly Network has released two new tools for remote collaboration and education.
The Butterfly TeleGuidance system enables ultrasound professionals to remotely collaborate with each other. The system, which is currently welcoming beta testers, uses an app to livestream the ultrasound image and camera of one Butterfly user to a collaborator in another location.
The remote collaborator can use the app to adjust the ultrasound device's preset, mode, gain, and depth, as well as to capture images or cines. The app also features two-way audio/video communication and augmented reality guidance.
Butterfly Network also has released new educational training videos that provide users with a visual indication of image quality for Butterfly iQ scans. The videos add to Butterfly's existing collection aimed at improving users' ultrasound scanning techniques.
