Ultrasound artificial intelligence (AI) technology developer EchoNous said its Kosmos point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) handheld probe is now compatible with Samsung's Galaxy Tab Active Pro tablets.
The Kosmos device offers diagnostic-grade imaging with continuous-wave Doppler capability. The AI-driven system enables automated assessment of systolic heart function at bedside and provides diagnostic-quality scans while also meeting HIPAA requirements for data collection, storage, and transmission, EchNous said.
Previously, the Kosmos probe has only been operable with Kosmos Bridge, EchoNous's custom-designed display. While the product will remain on the market, compatibility with Samsung's Galaxy Tab Active Pro models (12.0 and higher) creates more options for medical practitioners and hospital procurement staff, the company said.
