CEUS experts warn of underuse of the modality

Experts in contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) warned of underutilization of the modality at the recent International Bubble Conference in Chicago.

The conference attracted experts from around the world and focused on advances in the use of microbubble ultrasound-enhancing agents used routinely in a variety of clinical applications.

Jordan Strom, MD, from Harvard Medical School and Tom Porter, MD, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and lead author of the International Contrast Ultrasound Society (ICUS) guidelines, spoke with AuntMinnie.com to talk about the risks that come with underuse of CEUS. They also highlighted the utility of CEUS in clinical practice.
