Samsung Electronics subsidiary Samsung Medison and Bracco Imaging have established an agreement to develop and market ultrasound devices and contrast agents.
The companies recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at ECR 2024 in Vienna and are considering collaborative research to develop protocols for high-frequency and super-resolution imaging for diagnostic purposes. Global marketing activities will be focused on healthcare provider education and joint participation in strategic events.
In addition, Bracco's quantitative diagnostic analysis software will be integrated with Samsung Medison's diagnostic ultrasound equipment to enhance image reporting and improve convenience for medical staff, the companies noted.
