Hologic has completed its purchase of Gynesonics, developer of the Sonata system for diagnostic intrauterine imaging and transcervical treatment of symptomatic uterine fibroids, for $350 million.
Sonata combines real-time intrauterine ultrasound guidance with targeted radiofrequency ablation in an incisionless procedure, according to the firm.
