Hologic posted a revenue increase in its third quarter, which it attributed in part to higher sales in its molecular diagnostics and breast imaging divisions.
For the period (end-June 29), Hologic reported revenue of $1 billion, up 2.7% from $984 million for the same quarter last year. It posted a slight increase in third-quarter sales in its diagnostics division, driven by molecular diagnostics, which grew 2.8% from $302 million for the quarter in 2023 to $311 million this year. Its breast imaging segment posted sales of $309 million, up 8.1% compared with 2023's $286 million.
Finally, the company's net income for the quarter was $194.5 million, compared to a loss of $40.5 million in the third quarter of 2023.
