Hologic will showcase its women's health offerings at ECR 2024 by unveiling new research in AI tied to the Genius AI Detection system.
Women's imaging specialist and study author Sarah Friedewald, MD, from Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Feinberg School of Medicine, will share how the system matches pairs of regions of interest in different views. In a Hologic news release, Friedewald said the presentation will underscore that deep-learning technology can supplement radiologist workflow, particularly across the breast health spectrum.
Friedewald will also present research highlighting how the Genius AI Detection algorithm can help radiologists identify potential cancers on mammograms previously interpreted as normal. In a third study, research will show how Hologic’s deep learning-based AI algorithm can help enhance performance.
Hologic will also host a contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) symposium on Thursday, February 29, co-sponsored by Hologic and Bayer. The event will be facilitated by breast imaging radiologists Jacopo Nori, MD, from Careggi University Hospital in Florence, Italy, and Marc Lobbes, MD, PhD, from the Zuyderland Medical Center in Sittard-Geleen, the Netherlands.
