Volpara Health Technologies has secured a five-year, $7.3 million contract with the U.S. Defense Health Agency to provide breast cancer screening support.
Under terms of the agreement, the agency will make use of Volpara's Patient Hub, which features mammography reporting, cancer risk assessment, and patient tracking, Volpara said. It provides automated follow-up scheduling and appointment reminders and helps care providers communicate with patients.
Previous generations of Volpara's mammography reporting software have been in use by the U.S. Department of Defense since 1990, the company noted.
