Mammography firm Fischer Imaging has reorganized its sales and service field operations in an effort to focus its energies on breast care. Denver-based Fischer recently set up strategic alliances for the distribution and sale of its general radiography and electrophysiology systems.
The new sales and service structure divides the U.S. into five "Super Regions." Each region will have a dedicated field operation team consisting of sales, service, applications, and administrative personnel, Fischer said.
The firm hopes the plan will position it to take full advantage of its pending entry into the full-field digital mammography market. The company submitted a premarket approval application (PMA) to the Food and Drug Administration in March for its SenoScan full-field digital mammography system.
