Mammography and x-ray vendor Fischer Imaging reported revenues of $12.8 million, up 7.6% from the $11.9 million reported in the second quarter of 2000. For the period (end-July 1), the Denver-based vendor had net income of $751,000, compared with net income of $465,000 in 2000.
Fischer mostly attributed the revenue growth to a field sales reorganization announced in May. The higher revenue, combined with improved gross profit margins, led to the second quarter profit increase, said Rodney Johnson, vice president and CFO.
