American Mammographics will highlight its Special Optimized Full Tilt (S.O.F.T.) breast compression paddles for mammography.

The paddles are contoured to fit the natural shape of the breast and provide better compression for the middle and anterior breast. They also help reduce posterior displacement of breast tissue, according to Chattanooga, TN-based American Mammographics.

The company will also display its MammoSpot concept with MammoSpot paddles, which allow for focal compression, or double-spot compression, on both sides of the breast. MammoSpot achieves high spatial and contrast resolution because it allows for the greatest amount of breast thinning, according to American Mammographics.
