Rochester, NY-based Eastman Kodak Health Group plans to reveal work-in-progress CAD software for its mammography CR platforms, currently available as commercial products outside the U.S. and Canada.
Kodak has offered breast-imaging capability internationally since May 2005 as an optional feature on its DirectView CR 850, CR 950, and CR 975 systems. In fact, in October, Kodak announced that it had received orders for DirectView CR mammography systems from more than 30 facilities in Australia, Asia, Central America, and South America.
Kodak is pursuing U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance for its CR mammography feature in North America, the company said.
